West Coast Customs Brings Custom Car Excitement To NASCAR Fans At The Pepsi 500

Auto Club Speedway of Southern California is collaborating with the world-famous West Coast Customs (WCC) car shop to bring the WCC team and its one-of-kind cars to race fans during the Pepsi 500 race weekend this Labor Day.  WCC will stage live shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Auto Club Speedway FanZone to bring the WCC style to life for NASCAR fans.

The legendary West Coast Customs car shop was founded in 1993 by Ryan Friedlinghaus. It quickly became the talk of the California car community, renowned for its unique approach to car customization, including cutting edge designs and use of the latest technology.  Today the shop’s team members—Ryan, Big Dane and Ish—star in their own series on Discovery, “Street Customs.”   At Auto Club Speedway, the WCC team will demonstrate what it really takes to create a world-class custom car, and will show off some of their best handiwork with displays in the FanZone throughout the weekend.  Custom car fans can get some real-world tips that will help them bring their own car fantasies to life.

The West Coast Customs team will also join Auto Club Speedway at the Los Angeles stop of the national Dub Show Tour at the Convention Center on August 3, 2008. The Dub Show is the world’s largest custom auto show and concert tour. At the show, Auto Club Speedway and NASCAR will host appearances by WCC team members Ish, Big Dane and Ryan, and showcase a few of their newest custom creations.
